The building is covered with vines, rising three stories up to a dome. Doesn't appear to be breached in any manner. The main door is covered with roots and vines, taking a minute or so to clear off. The door was locked and alarmed, but a bit of work opens it without trouble. Inside is a distinct smell of lightning and the air is much cooler than outside. Upon entering there's a plinth with a human face that asks our name & welcomes us to the Academy. Lights come up and chase away the gloom and darkness. There's a Vandegraph generator in the middle of the room which goes live once we enter. There's a statue of Atlas that generates a holographic display of a globe. With Maya, the plinth display shows an African face.
Kohana decides to interrogate the floating head, which is not a human. There's a 5' table display with a chess set. This is a display of Deep Blue, that you can play against the machine. In between the stairs is a large bat wing construction that appears to fit a human. There's a Marble race way machine in a clear plastic frame. Nearby is a 3-D display of the building, with little green flags that show various points of interest. An Eco sign gives a brief dissertation on how the building works. I touch the generator in order to store up a charge on the armor. One of the display is of a human body with choices of male/female.
Maya notices that the vines covering the building are moving and shifting. The leaves are spreading out and uncovering the windows. Further exploration show a kids room and connected is a room with spotlights shining of the ceiling. Kohana says the plants are moving, yet I see nothing. Then the plants attack us, resembling the stump creatures that we fought earlier. One of the vine creatures moves by wrapping tentacles around the display and then moving. Another lashes out at me but misses, while a third shots out a pod of spores which drips acid and blinds me [5 ongoing acid]. Creepers burst thru the floor and restrain me [10 ongoing crushing, save ends]. Two more attack me, one hitting the armor which releases an electrical shock. Inyan leaps from the stairs, tucks & rolls, then slams into one of the vine creatures, cutting it deeply. Another slams me back, pushing me to near the door. Another slaps me across the room. Half the enemy are down, giving us a superior advantage. Kohana continues to hide on the stair, sniping with his powers.
After a bit more fighting and pain, we are victorious. Maya continues to act as my bodyguard, allowing me to heal. However, the plant creatures and their immobilization spikes kept me out of the combat for a great deal of time. We explore the next floor up and find a covered greenhouse area, leading out to a rooftop garden. A search of the kitchen reveals a box of invidually wrapped bars [eco-go granola energy bars]. We find a restroom to hide in and spend the night. We bed down to rest for the evening.
